Although the film received its share of negative criticism and reviews, unless you’ve lost someone close to you, you can’t possibly understand what it’s like. And even if you have, you can’t because loss and grieving is different for everyone.
Personally, I thought this movie beautiful and the ending tied it all together in a way that took me completely by surprise. It was a very emotional movie, so make sure to have some kleenex ready, but if you’ve ever lost someone close to you, the characters and the idea of Time, Death, and Love are really helpful and make a lot of sense.
Will Smith is one of my favourite actors and I think he did a great job in this movie.
I don’t think we ever get over losing someone close to us – we just learn to live with that pain, sadness, emptiness. No matter how much you love someone, one day they will go away. And when it’s permanent, that’s when it’s the most painful. You can never replace their love – you just need to learn to cherish the moments and memories you had with that person, and be thankful for the opportunity to have been able to feel that.
If you have Netflix, it’s on there, so check it out!
