My favourite scene in my favourite movie, Rudy, comes just after Rudy quits the football team before the last practice of his senior year at the University of Notre Dame. One of his mentors, a groundskeeper who helped him out with a job and a place to stay when he first went to Notre Dame, finds him hanging out in the stadium when he should be at practice. The conversation between Rudy and Fortune is truly inspiring and every time I watch it, it makes me feel very powerful and enstills the belief in myself that I can do whatever I set my mind to.
You don’t have to prove nothing to nobody except yourself. And if you haven’t done that by now, it ain’t gonna never happen.
Trust in yourself. Follow your dreams. And don’t let others hold you back.
