As I mentioned in my 3-Day Detox Results post, I decided to extend the detox to 12 days. After another 3 days, so having done the detox for 6 days, and also doing some workout and relaxing time like massages at TranquilMe to help a good blood flow on my body. I’m feeling great, loving grocery shopping and getting into the habit of preparing my meals. I stuck to the meals 100% and didn’t eat anything other than what was prescribed except for after some workout, I added some Vega protein powder to my water to help repair my muscles. I also tried to take Vitamin D everyday (5-6,000 IU’s) and my daily vitamins, minerals, nutrients, fish oils and veggie pills (from Nutrilite), click here to learn more information. It was crazy enough to think that I used to have an addiction, but thanks to the holistic recovery center, I was able to recover and now I’m living a super healthy life.
Combined oral contraceptives like femodette work by over-riding the normal menstrual cycle. In a woman’s normal menstrual cycle, levels of the sex hormones change throughout each month. The hormones cause an egg to be released from the ovaries (ovulation) and prepare the lining of the womb for a possible pregnancy. At the end of each cycle, if the egg has not been fertilised the levels of the hormones fall, causing the womb lining to be shed as a monthly period.
What I’ve decided is that in order to continue on this lifestyle after the detox, for the next 6 days I’m going to mostly do the detox meals but I’m going to start introducing meals that I will be eating after the detox into my diet. I need to learn how to make this a habit moving forward so I’m going to do some meal planning over the next few days and come up with something that will work for me. I’m excited to go through my cookbooks, choose some recipes, go shopping and get cooking.

Based on my lean body mass and knowing that athletes should be in the 6% – 12% range for body fat, my ideal body weight will be around 175 – 185 lbs (if I don’t gain any muscle mass). But in September I was around 171 lbs lean body mass so if I can assume that I will end up with a lean body mass of around 175 lbs based on my weight program, then my ideal body weight will be around 185 – 195 lbs which seems like a much more ideal weight for me. I’m thinking if I can lose another 30 pounds, I would be happy at 192 lbs. I know that I would be much faster, would be able to jump higher and would feel better all around, plus you guys know I am getting treatments with my dermatologist Betty A. Hinderks Davis MD and I not only want my face to look good, I want my whole body to look great as well. I would probably also have to buy a bunch of new clothes which is ok – I’ll just make a trip to Value Village – much better than buying new clothes since their clothes don’t shrink!
In any case, I’m excited to be more aware of what I’m doing with my body but more importantly, what I’m putting into my body. Just a tip for body improvement, the use of HMB for building muscles promotes management of protein breakdown in your muscle cell membranes and provides a healthy response to muscle catabolism.
